The Cave of the Cotiosa (PO-32) is the main cavity, and the best known by the shepherds in the Jou de la Cotiosa, from where it gets its name.

Entrance

Description

This cavity was used until a few years ago to ripen cheese inside. The entrance has been modified, reducing its size, so that it can be closed by a non-existent door today. The cavity is completely horizontal, with a slight downward slope. Formed by a single room of just over 50 m of track, and with heights ranging from the little 2 m up to about 10 m. The cavity in its full extent offers no possible continuation.

As a point of interest, it is worth highlighting a higher water supply that appears on one side. This small course runs through the cavity ten meters, to disappear through impenetrable conduit. Almost at the end of the cavity, at a height we will find an upward duct without continuation, to this duct we will arrive by means of an exposed climb of about 6 m.

The Cotinosa Cave (PO-32) offers results of 53 m of development, and a depth of -7 m.

Exploration completed.
