Approach

From Cabanas de Tamamdon, looking northwards towards Oceno, a large cave entrance can be seen on the eastern side of the valley. Approaching from the western side it is concealed above the path that runs south to the shepherds huts at the head of the valley. The entrance is a large gash in the hillside when seen from the opposite side of the valley, but from below it is invisible.

Entrance

The entrance is 40m wide by 5m high and has been used a refuge for goats (1976)

Description

The floor drop sharply a short distance in and there a steep muddy slither to a vast 55m wide chamber, littered with huge blocks (giving the impression of several chambers)

On the far side is a small grotto reached by a short climb down and is complete with a calcited goats skull.

All continuations are blocked by boulders. The cave was probably once part of larger system destroyed when the gorge was formed
